Security Awareness

The security level in Danish airports is determined by both Danish and international rules, which prescribes that education/instruction is compulsory for all employees in Danish airports.

Before issuing of ID-cards (Airport Passes) it is required that everyone has basic knowledge, hence to be able to walk around unaccompanied and safely on airside – and so actively participate in the security in the airport at any given time is optimal.

We are talking broad general information here which must be followed up by the specific firm’s internal information and education of its employees. When the theoretical part is completed an obligatory practical follow up has to be done.

The person/persons responsible for security in the abovementioned firms have to make sure that all new employees get the opportunity to get around in the airport and hereby be able to supplement the achieved theory with practical inputs as to complete the aim of the obligatory security awareness (Basic security awareness).

The theoretical as well as the practical part must be completed before one will be allowed to walk unaccompanied in the various security zones of the airports. Hereafter there must follow ups according to the current authority rules regarding Danish airports.
